For centuries, poste restante made it possible to receive mail, even if the recipient was away from home or didn't have a permanent address. Letters could be sent to a post office to be held until someone arrived to claim them.

A letter crossing miles and borders, carrying news, plans, observations and ordinary details... on the faith that eventually, it would find its person.

The Poste Restante Weekender takes its inspiration from that well-traveled world of correspondence. Vintage Italian letterhead, a postage stamp, postmarks and sweeping handwritten script travel across the bag, all bearing the beautiful evidence of a piece of paper that has already had a life. And then, a favorite phrase around here: "A letter is a conversation that travels through time," which first appeared on the ribbon sent to mail club members in December 2025.

Generously sized for a weekend away, a trip to the market, or whatever else the day requires, the bag is finished with cream rope handles.
